Yesterday was glorious. It was 70 degrees and I opened my sunroof. We went for a walk. We enjoyed the sunshine. And we laughed together. Yes, the days are long but the years are short. If you’ve never heard that before and you’re a mom, get ready because eventually everyone will say it to you. Don’t get me wrong, I so enjoy the days no matter how monotonous they can be. Dishes. Laundry. Feed the baby. Pick up the toys. Change the diaper. It’s a never ending circle of caring for someone else who needs you 24/7 but guess what? I kind of love it. I love that she needs me so much and she’s my little sidekick. So on days like yesterday that are just a little sweeter because God graced us with such wonderful weather, I’ll count my blessings and I’ll always remember to count her (Halle) twice.
This dress is divine. I immediately ordered another one when I got home. The pockets, the fit, and the color were all hits. I also just ordered a bunch of transitional pieces for Halle from H&M. Their baby stuff is so afforadable and SO cute. >This top from H&M was a perfect choice for yesterday and I know we will get a lot of use out of this cute printed top. Her shoes are also a new favorite. She’s trying to walk y’all. This mama can’t take it! I have been on the hunt for (cute) walking shoes and found these moccasins on Amazon with grips on the bottom. Yes, please!
Anyway, I hope everyone has a Happy Hump Day! I will be posting more often on here. I have been getting a lot of questions on Instagram about Halle’s clothes, toys, etc as well as stuff I’m wearing so I’ll try to add those items to the blog. Have a great week!!
I love a great leopard print, don’t you? I’m a sucker for this print so when I saw this dress I knew I had to have it! It’s the perfect piece for pregnancy because I can grow into it with leggings or jeggings – like these from H&M or wear it as a dress after baby is born!
Last weekend we enjoyed time with family at two baby showers (!) one on Saturday and one on Sunday (see what I wore here). On Saturday I decided on this dress from Pink Blush Maternity. Shop the sale today with code “YES2THEDRESS” for 15% off (this dress is already on sale!)
With the holidays right around the corner I’m pulling out all the vests, buffalo plaid, and boots my heart can handle! Thanksgiving is such a special time to gather with friends and family and remember what is really important: people. I hope you and your family have a blessed Thanksgiving!
My go to color combo most days include a little black with a little more black and I add in stripes sometimes too! This top is from Target and only $19.99!! I love the fit and the fact that I can grow into it once this belly continues to get bigger. PS speaking of bellies, the lady at Subway asked if I was sure I didn’t have two babies in there and thought I was due any day. Ummmm I have 5 months left, thanks ma’am.
Leather Leggings are a basic that is back for fall and winter 2016, and they make everything seem a little bit more edgy which I love. I found mine from Nordstrom Rack last year and they are back again (with the same great price!). These shoes are a good copy for mine which are old from Ellie Clothing and I have to tell you, I love these shoes!! Grab up a pile of bangles from Sincerely Quinley to finish off the look and add a pop of color. I love red for the holidays! Can you believe Christmas is right around the corner?

Let’s be honest for a second, this is my go-to uniform every day. These wedges are as comfortable as flats and my layering top is perfect for just $14.99! I wear these leggings all of the time! The distressed color looks great with light colors like this cardigan and simple accessories. Ultra comfortable is was I’m all about these days! Check out that baby bump (18 weeks last week!)
It’s Monday which means we are all back on the grind. Monday’s are easy when you have a few pieces you are always turning to in your closet, like these jeans for me. Lately I have been wearing them with everything and I love the versatility! I bought these last year at Old Navy so I’ve linked similar styles below (same price point). Basics are always a good idea! So here’s to a basic Monday with a pep in your step!
Casual wear with heels- one of my favorite combos. I paired this camo t shirt from Target with ripped boyfriend jeans from Style Revel. These jeans and T paired with heels take this casual look from frumpy to fabulous. Shoes are from Blu Boutique and I LOVE them!
We just got to the beach last night and I have already had a delicious meal, coffee overlooking the ocean this morning, and now I am headed out to to enjoy the Florida sun. Have a great weekend!!
I finally found a denim jacket that is both soft and structured but not too boxy or too big. Who knew it would be such a hard task to find? It is.
I paired my new jacket with these all time favorite black distressed skinnies from Old Navy and boots by Frye.
Transitioning from summer to fall is one of the hardest transitions for most people. It’s HOT then it feels good. You want to look cute now in your fall finds but can’t handle the heat with the layers. I have paired this denim jacket with a dress, shorts/top and I’ll be incorporating it for the remainder of the summer and into the fall.
A couple of weeks ago Ray LaMontagne came into town and we had the chance to see him perform at The Louisville Palace. I chose this dress for the event because I was too hot for jeans and I have also been anxiously awaiting a chance to wear this new dress from Ellie Clothing.
The colors in this dress are understated but the cutout shoulders and lace up top keep the dress edgy and fresh for fall. I’ll be wearing this floral frock when the temps cool off (just add a leather jacket like this one for 40% off and booties like these for 25% off – both at Nordstrom).
