Everyday Basics

Whenever I see a top like this one I snatch it up quick. This taupe top can be worn as a tunic with leggings or as a top with jeans. I chose a casual look for running errands in my new boyfriend jeans from Style Revel and tassel necklace and bangles by yours truly { čśë }. The top, from Ellie Clothing, is going to be your new favorite. I can’t wait to see how i’ll incorporate it into my closet- it fits like a dream.

Fashionable Under $50

Depending on your style preferences one thing remains constant for the majority of us out there: we love a great deal. I personally love the style choices of an affordable shop. Today I’m talking about Ellie. Yes I used to work there and obviously it’s my favorite boutique, BUT when you can find great styles that look like they cost over $100 and can snag them for under $50 it’s a win win.

A scalloped detail is the perfect accent for this faux suede dress. A yummy camel color looks rich and luxurious yet it’s super affordable. Dress it up with heels and loads of accessories. Or- dress it down with a wool hat, chunky heels and bangles galore. PS: this hat is marked to $14 right now!

See how I styled it below + tell me about your favorite fashionable finds under $50!

Have a GREAT weekend!

July 4th Weekend

I hope everyone is recovering from the long holiday weekend. This week will be a little bit harder (especially today! Blah Monday’s) because the July 4th weekend is now behind us.

I spent the weekend at the Old Fashioned July 4th Celebration in Crescent Hill. This was my first arts and crafts show and I had a blast! I met great people, sold my handmade jewelry to the community, and had an overall great weekend.

As we all know, this holiday weekend was not about watermelon, cook outs, red white and blue outfits and fireworks but rather about the freedom we all share because we live in the greatest country in the world. Because the great men and women who’ve laid their lives down and the ones who continue to serve this great nation- we stand and thank you for your service.

Yesterday at church we sang and worshiped while honoring those who’ve fought and lost their lives, those who fought in the past and those who are currently serving. It brought a tear to my eye because the red white and blue, the patriotic songs, the feeling of knowing we live in a free country. But freedom isn’t free, so thank someone for their service when you see them. Speak up about your faith and speak out about the God who is holy and almighty. Some people in other places don’t have that option.

We ended our weekend watching the Women’s Soccer Team take the victory over Japan. What a great game and an awesome win to keep the patriotic feelings flowing. Hope everyone has a happy, productive and wonderful week. Talk soon!

Budget Friendly Style

I don’t know about you but I am all about a good buy. I love the feeling I get when I score a deal and on something that I know I’ll use time and time again. TargetH&MZappos/Outlet!, they are sure bets to get you a little more bang for you buck. Why does this matter? Wallet savers and budget friendly buys let you explore your style without making you feel like you dropped way to much cash on clothing.

Don’t get me wrong, I splurge every now and then. My top splurges are usually on a great bag, new watch or a pair of sunglasses. All items I can incorporate again and again with different outfits, seasons, and styles.

I found this adorable green dress at H&M. $12.95?? Are you kidding me? It’s so great because with just the right touch it can be dressy or casual. I need more dresses like this in my life because let’s be honest- it gets wayyyy to hot in the south during the summer. Paired with this darling belt from Target and pumps from Zappos (outlet saved me 50% off of an already great price of $49.99). To top off the dressier styling of this new dress I paired a few of my handmade bangles and gold watch making the accessories do all of the talking.

Keeping It Casual

When I found these jeans at H&M I knew they would be a great buy for summer. I sized down giving these boyfriend jeans a little bit more structure. The fabric is ultra soft and they pair perfectly with a pale pink t (old from Ellie) and dressed up with nude heels from Zappos Shoe Outlet

Wear this outfit for a travel day (headed to the beach?) or for a day running errands (trade your shoes for flats) or even a casual night out with your girls or guy.

New designs are heating up for summer at Sincerely Quinley. These bangles are great for dressing up your look for night or here with a casual outfit needing a little snazz. Tassel necklaces are one of my favorite trends for all year-round. The neutral wooden beads with silver, purple and turquoise colors make this pretty necklace perfect for your summer outfits.

C O L O R STORY

If you know me you know I’m not fond of color. I stick to neutrals and I’m usually pretty “boring” in some people’s terms when it comes to my color palate. However– these new bangles have me jumping for joy about bold color. A pop of color on your wrist just brightens your day (or it does for me at least).

I hope you enjoy this seasons warm days, bright skies and bold colors. Try out a pastel or a pop of pink. Add a bold lip to your makeup routine. I’m trying to branch out this season with little pops of unexpected color without doing an overhaul of my usual grey, white and black routine.
