Cozy ComfortĀ

I am pretty sure I have worn this kimono five times since I have bought it (and it JUST now started being cold enough to enjoy)! The cozy fabric, neutral color, and the blanket like quality make me feel like snuggling up all day. Who doesn’t want a wearable blanket when it’s freezing outside and you happen to be carrying around a human inside your belly šŸ˜‰  Yeah, no one will ask any questions.

Pink Blush Maternity is the best thing that has happened to maternity clothes, ever. Everything is cute and trendy while still remaining affordable and easy. Use code “THANKFUL” and save 30% off site wide through tomorrow, the 14th making this piece under $40!

Black and Cream

It’s Monday which means we are all back on the grind. Monday’s are easy when you have a few pieces you are always turning to in your closet, like these jeans for me. Lately I have been wearing them with everything and I love the versatility! I bought these last year at Old Navy so I’ve linked similar styles below (same price point). Basics are always a good idea! So here’s to a basic Monday with a pep in your step!

Ruffle Embroidery ShortsĀ

I am heading to the beach in a few weeks so I’ve been keeping my eye out for easy outfits like these that are great for the road-trip, day at the beach, or a hot summer night eating (yummy) seafood.

When I saw these shorts from Free Spirit Love Shop I knew they would fit right in for my beach trip wear. They are fully lined, long enough for my liking – longer in the back is always a bonus for me, and they are super comfortable. The embroidery waistband adds a little touch that is a perfect contrast to the ruffle hem. I plan on wearing these over my new black swimsuit and wearing them again with a simple top and lots of jewels (duh). An extra bonus? These cute shorts are only $16!!!! What????

Happy Summer!!

Let Freedom RingĀ

As we all take a moment to celebrate Freedom with friends and family, I wanted to share with you a few favorites I’ll be wearing for the upcoming holiday.

What’s a long weekend without a few refreshments? Sadly for me (it’s actually not SO bad), I am participating in the Whole30 program so the sweet treats and alcoholic drinks will have to take a backseat for a while. Excuse me while I sip my white ginger tea and munch on my blueberry/strawberry combo.

Whenever I have a relaxing weekend I usually throw on denim shorts like these or these

Casual and cute is my motto for spring. These shoes make a statement while the dress keeps it casual.

A bold blue necklace against the white dress proves that a touch of color is all you need. This necklace can be worn as is – wrapped once or long and simple with your favorite tank + white jeans or a cute solid or printed dress.

Everyday Basics

Whenever I see a top like this one I snatch it up quick. This taupe top can be worn as a tunic with leggings or as a top with jeans. I chose a casual look for running errands in my new boyfriend jeans from Style Revel and tassel necklace and bangles by yours truly { šŸ˜‰ }. The top, from Ellie Clothing, is going to be your new favorite. I can’t wait to see how i’ll incorporate it into my closet- it fits like a dream.

Black Pebble VestĀ

It is getting chilly in KY and i’m layering on anything and everything these days. This vest from Ellie has been getting lots of wear lately and the ribbed top (from ellie too!) is a comfy option to pair underneath. What i’m LOVING are these new booties I just got from Old Navy. They are a greenish/beige “olive” color and I think the color is great to wear with anything.  My cuffed jeans are on repeat as well because the dark color and distressed look pairs perfectly with all of my booties. You guessed it, they are from Ellie as well.

I have been a BUSY girl getting orders out the door! For those of you who have been thinking about Christmas already…THANK YOU! For those of you who haven’t placed your order yet- I am celebrating this week of SHOPPING MANIA with specials each day leading up to Black Friday! Next up: $10 off all tassel necklaces.
Have a bless week and check back later in the week for my Thanksgiving update and Men’s Shopping Guide *$100 and under*!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Black Ripped JeansĀ

It’s September and Labor Day is behind us.  I am officially PUMPED for boots, oversized sweaters, scarves and beautiful fall weather. Since we moved out of the deep south it will be wonderful to experience a true fall (Alabama doesn’t do fall – just summer.winter.summer.repeat). We have a few fun activities planned for the fall and I can hardly wait for pretty days and changing colors.

I bought these jeans and this top during the Old Navy sale last week. The top is so great (and under $15!) so I bought it in black too! The basis for fall for me include booties, skinnies, an oversized top and a tassel necklace. The reason I love fall and winter is because your go-to “uniform” is the easiest when you have your basics down. Mix it up with jewelry and you’ll always have it together!

July 4th Weekend

I hope everyone is recovering from the long holiday weekend. This week will be a little bit harder (especially today! Blah Monday’s) because the July 4th weekend is now behind us.

I spent the weekend at the Old Fashioned July 4th Celebration in Crescent Hill. This was my first arts and crafts show and I had a blast! I met great people, sold my handmade jewelry to the community, and had an overall great weekend.

As we all know, this holiday weekend was not about watermelon, cook outs, red white and blue outfits and fireworks but rather about the freedom we all share because we live in the greatest country in the world. Because the great men and women who’ve laid their lives down and the ones who continue to serve this great nation- we stand and thank you for your service.

Yesterday at church we sang and worshiped while honoring those who’ve fought and lost their lives, those who fought in the past and those who are currently serving. It brought a tear to my eye because the red white and blue, the patriotic songs, the feeling of knowing we live in a free country. But freedom isn’t free, so thank someone for their service when you see them. Speak up about your faith and speak out about the God who is holy and almighty. Some people in other places don’t have that option.

We ended our weekend watching the Women’s Soccer Team take the victory over Japan. What a great game and an awesome win to keep the patriotic feelings flowing. Hope everyone has a happy, productive and wonderful week. Talk soon!
