Sunny and Seventy Degrees

Yesterday was glorious. It was 70 degrees and I opened my sunroof. We went for a walk. We enjoyed the sunshine. And we laughed together. Yes, the days are long but the years are short. If you’ve never heard that before and you’re a mom, get ready because eventually everyone will say it to you. Don’t get me wrong, I so enjoy the days no matter how monotonous they can be. Dishes. Laundry. Feed the baby. Pick up the toys. Change the diaper. It’s a never ending circle of caring for someone else who needs you 24/7 but guess what? I kind of love it. I love that she needs me so much and she’s my little sidekick. So on days like yesterday that are just a little sweeter because God graced us with such wonderful weather, I’ll count my blessings and I’ll always remember to count her (Halle) twice.

This dress is divine. I immediately ordered another one when I got home. The pockets, the fit, and the color were all hits. I also just ordered a bunch of transitional pieces for Halle from H&M. Their baby stuff is so afforadable and SO cute. >This top from H&M was a perfect choice for yesterday and I know we will get a lot of use out of this cute printed top. Her shoes are also a new favorite. She’s trying to walk y’all. This mama can’t take it! I have been on the hunt for (cute) walking shoes and found these moccasins on Amazon with grips on the bottom. Yes, please!

Anyway, I hope everyone has a Happy Hump Day! I will be posting more often on here. I have been getting a lot of questions on Instagram about Halle’s clothes, toys, etc as well as stuff I’m wearing so I’ll try to add those items to the blog. Have a great week!!

Sincerely Quinley

Nursery Reveal

Since we are quickly (insert tears) approaching the two month mark since our lives completely changed for the better and our daughter was born, I figured now is the time to have her nursery reveal. I have had so many questions about her nursery and somehow between the late night feedings and constant diaper changes (#newborn life) I have not been able to respond to everyone’s questions! I wanted to do a full post on the nursery and have been meaning to get this up for weeks, so here I am holding Halle while I type this because it is so hard to put her down-she is just too precious!

Leopard Lovin’

I love a great leopard print, don’t you? I’m a sucker for this print so when I saw this dress I knew I had to have it! It’s the perfect piece for pregnancy because I can grow into it with leggings or jeggings – like these from H&M or wear it as a dress after baby is born!

Keeping It Cool and Casual

The weather is constantly changing during winter so I’ve stocked up on basics for maternity wear that I can layer AND wear after pregnancy! This top fits the bill for casual, cute, great for layering, and perfect to wear after delivery. Yes please! (Plus, it’s on sale!)

I have continued wearing these jeans by Jessica Simpson throughout pregnancy with the help of my belly band (life.saver.!) To keep with the casual look I wore these shoes by Clarks that I scored at Blue Ribbon Shoes in Decatur, AL (my hometown). Get this – shoes at this store are about 70% off of retail and it’s a gold mine for shoe lovers! If you ever get the chance to stop in, do it!

Hope everyone has a wonderful week! We’re at 32 weeks this week and I am getting so so so excited for Halle!

Seeing Spots (+ a Bump Update!)

Well, 31 weeks down! 9 more to go. It is crazy to think that as much as I have fallen in love with this little girl in my belly, my heart will grow exponentially more when she is born. We cannot wait to see her, hold her, and see her grow!

This past weekend our family threw us two baby showers – one on Saturday (my side of the family) and one on Sunday (Luke’s side of the family). We felt ALL of the love and on the way home Sunday all we could do was smile and thank God for blessing us with wonderful parents, families, and friends. Truly, we are so lucky and we count our families as a HUGE blessing in our lives and Halle’s.

I wore two different maternity looks this weekend (more on my Saturday look tomorrow). This dress from Asos maternity was a great fit, style, and I felt like my belly really popped in it! I am glad to be out of the “is she? or isn’t she?” stage of pregnancy. There is no denying the bump is there and I love it! I ordered a size 6 which was a little big in the waist area but fit perfectly through the bust and hip area. My shoes are Jessica Simpson and I scored them at TJMaxx but you can still find them on Amazon in a variety of colors!

28 Week Bump Update

It’s here! The third trimester – aka crunch time. I am THRILLED to welcome a baby girl into our lives in March. We are over the moon and already feel like she’s with us between the moving around and feeling her kick everyday to the doctors appointments becoming more and more frequent.

My ultimate hope for Halle is that she will be kind, caring, and loving. People ask me all of the time “do you hope she’s a girly girl who loves clothes?” I don’t care if she likes clothes or not, or if she prefers dance over field hockey, but I hope and pray daily that she is a joy to others and that she loves Christ from an early age.

She is already such a joy in our lives and I pray she lights up a path wherever she goes. I want her to know that kindness is the post important quality and what you wear does not matter. That you can do anything you set your mind to and to take a leap of faith even when it is scary.

Mom and Dad will be right there to catch you, sweet angel.

Baby It’s (not really) Cold Outside

Temps in Alabama were crazy for Christmas, but we are all used to that by now. We headed down to Alabama last Thursday and spent time with family and had a wonderful time. Now, to get back in the swing of things and take down the Christmas tree-sad. I’m currently sitting by the tree soaking up the last few days of Christmas decorations all while wearing my Work the Metal This Girl Loves Christmas t-shirt.

I wore this outfit before we left and it was cozy and kept me warm. The temperatures this week will be back down so I’ll take advantage of this go to poncho to cover up my 28 week bump!

Christmas Cards

”Tis the season for Christmas cards! One of my favorite parts about Christmas is giving and receiving fun cards during the holiday season. I love seeing everyone else’s card, it brings me so much joy!

We used Maggie Tait Photography {she’s awesome!} and decided to take our pictures outside in Anchorage. The leaves were falling and it was a beautiful fall day.

For the cards I went with Vistaprint again this year {hello discounts!} I usually search by number of pictures and I like to put “Merry Christmas” on the card so I narrow it down and find my favorite. Vistaprint is offering 50% off cards right now with code “bestgifts” so if you haven’t ordered yours yet – you still have time!

My outfit is from Work The Metal and boots are Steve Madden (from a few years ago) similar here. Shop my jewelry online at Sincerely Quinley {dot} com!
